The 2024 Tour of Lhasa cycling race kicked off at the Lhasa Mass Culture and Sports Center, drawing over 500 riders from across the country. The CVW Thunder-Duo Plus wireless transmission system played a crucial role in live-streaming this thrilling event, capturing the riders’ "speed and passion."
Challenging Live Streaming Environment
Situated at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, the race spanned approximately 72.1 kilometers. Starting from the Lhasa Mass Culture and Sports Center, the route traversed Chagu Avenue, Beijing Avenue, Zangre Bridge, and Najin Mountain Tunnel, finishing at the iconic Potala Palace Square.
The high altitude, low air pressure, and complex road conditions posed significant challenges for live broadcasting. After comprehensive testing and evaluation, the organizers selected the CVW Thunder-Duo Plus for its superior performance in such demanding conditions.
Superior Performance: CVW Thunder-Duo Plus Excels
At the race, the Thunder-Duo Plus was used for dual-camera live streaming: one camera focused on the studio, while the other captured the riders in action. Dubbed the "King of Penetration," the Thunder-Duo Plus boasts ultra-long transmission distances, robust interference resistance, and exceptional penetration capabilities. Its compact and portable design also reduces labor costs.
With a stable transmission range of up to 1 kilometer, it is perfect for mobile shooting. The system can transmit two video streams using just one channel, conserving wireless spectrum resources and minimizing the risk of interference, ensuring a stable video signal transmission at the event. This made it ideal for the high-altitude, complex terrain of the race, effectively overcoming signal interference challenges.
Lhasa is committed to developing its sports sector and promoting public fitness activities, reflecting the spirit of the new era. The CVW Thunder-Duo Plus, with its professional and reliable performance, successfully supported the live broadcast of the race, showcasing the city's vibrant sports culture.
